This
Diwali look your best in vibrant traditional saris and some classy make-up, as
noted actress Mouli Ganguli demonstrates
Bengal
has over the years exported many a female diva to Mumbai, Mouli Ganguli is the
latest head-turner... A huge fan of the magazine, we asked her to be the muse
for this festive makeover. She gladly agreed.
Prabir
first began the whole exercise by cleansing Mouli's face, neck and shoulder
areas and then applied a Bobbi Brown skin-tone base on her face and neck. He
next rubbed some ice cubes over the base, allowed the ice to tighten the face
muscles and then took a tissue to wipe off the excess dripping water. He next
proceeded to do up her eyes, where he used a combination of MAC brown and black
eye shadows to arch and re-shape her eyebrows and then used a MAC black kohl
pencil in the lower kohl of her eyes. He further used some MAC black eye shadow
on the upper eyelids and at the outer corner of her eyes and took a smudge brush
from Body Shop to smudge out rough lines into an almond shape and adds some MAC
gold eye shadow (from the upper eyelids to below the eyebrows) in the highlight
zone to add glimmer to her eye make-up. To add some more screen magic, Prabir
drew out a combination of copper and gold eye pencil to outline just the inner
corner of her eyes and extend the line below the kohl eyes to make it a more
sparkling affair. Not to forget, he also used Maybelline long-lash mascara to
lengthen her eye lashes. For her cheeks, he used a touch of dark peach blush-on
from Chambor and topped it with some nice gold shimmer powder to give it a well
defined high-cheek bone effect. For her lips, he used a combination of several
Bobbi Brown and YSL lipsticks in different shades of pink and applied a MAC
transparent gloss over it. To lend magic to the body, he uses some Revlon body
shimmer on it and the glow is not be missed. For her hair, Prabir simply used a
good hair iron to straighten out the frizzy and unruly hair and applied a good
L'Oreal shine to it to give it that glossy and neat look.
As
a last touch, Nisha Beri's festive creation, a chikan sari in shades of red and
pink with beautiful coloured thread embroidery and sequins embellishments worn
with a contrast brocade halter blouse does its last bit in transforming the
short and petite frame into a screen diva.
