"Ashwini
(Hoaa), Snehal (Gems) and I," writes Kavya (also called Chummi), "all work under
one roof.
We met at our
workplace just a year ago, but we feel like we've been friends for ages! The
best thing about us and our friendship is that we've each found a true friend in
the other(s) and we connect so well that we sometimes surprise ourselves!
"We are from
three different places; Ash is from Mysore, Snehal from Mumbai and I am from
Bangalore. We feel that we joined the same company because our friendship was
destined to be!
It is our
greatest stress buster too.
We enjoy each
other's company, and we go out on trips to many nice places, like in the
photograph. And we've done a lot of whacky stuff that perhaps should not be
talked about!
"What keeps us
together and going is that though we share different points of view, we know
that, what the heck, it's the differences that give life its momentum. Otherwise
it would be just drab 'n' dull, right?
"We celebrate
our friendship in many ways - from a simple thought and action of love, care,
concern over the phone, SMS, greetings... to going to parties, pubs and away on
outings!
"Three
cheers!"
Are
You A Femina Friend?
WE'RE looking to
build a band of readers who will bolster each other up, help each other get
through difficult times, celebrate the uniqueness of their friendship...
We will feature
groups of friends in different cities, ask your opinions on different issues
that concern women, encourage you to advise each other and bond as only women
friends can.
If you are a
part of a group of friends, write in and tell us how you met, what keeps you
together and how you celebrate your sisterhood.
If you would
like to be on our 'Between Friends' panel, send in your name and address, and a
little about yourself.
Send us your
inputs at femina@timesgroup.com, with 'Friends' in the subject line.
Between
Friends
I've just had my
first baby, and I'm tired and cranky all the time. To top it all, I've
discovered that instead of working on the comp into the night as he alleges he
has been doing, my husband has been surfing porn! Of course, my libido's at its
lowest, so there's no question of his getting what he's used to, but shouldn't
he be more considerate? Help! Maya Morarjee, Ahmedabad
