Matt
Le Blanc, Mathew Perry and David Schwimmer: Better known as Joey, Chandler and
Ross in F.R.I.E.N.D.S. Without doubt, our favourite men on the small screen. We
wanted to pick one but it's impossible. They're all incredible in their own way.
Joey's hot (our one-time pin-up), Chandler's hilarious (and hot, though not on
the show) and Ross is endearingly geeky. They've got the looks, the charm, the
boyish nervous act that girls love and most importantly, they've got all the
funny lines.
Samir
Soni:
Something about this guy's looks
spells stability, no matter what character he's playing on TV, though we must
say, the corporate, cool dude look suits him the most. You want him to be the
'nice guy' even when he's playing a jerk. The kind one wants to take home to
mom. We still remember his Motorola 'Bang-bang' ad days. And we love the
way he brightens up when he smiles. Quite neat, this one.
Ray
Romano:
He's the guy who plays the lead
in 'Everybody Loves Raymond'. And he's always in trouble! You squirm and pray
for him when he says something that's going to make his wife see red (which
happens with alarming regularity!) He ain't a looker and can be an exasperating
husband as well, but along with his weird parents and even weirder brother, Ray
creates comic magic in the show. He's very funny and his book 'Everything And A
Kite', proves just how much. In fact, one of our staffers wanted to marry him at
one point, until the rest of us pointed out how his screen-wife is never
laughing...
Gaurav
Kapur:
He's been our 'Locker Room' guy
so you probably know how funny he can be. But apart from his inherent wit and
charm, we love Gaurav because he has brought diabetes (something he has been
affected from) in young people to the forefront. It's tough to talk about your
problems, especially in front of the entire nation. Requires sheer guts.
Something we simply adore in a man.
Akhtar
Khan:
He hosts 'Fast Track' on BBC
World. He's stylishly casual and seems to have just the right mix of
guy-next-door charm and intelligence. An experienced journalist, he's covered
considerable base in reportage and knows what holds a good show together. The
dark, good looks have us drooling... An outdoor guy, he loves white water
rafting, skiing and... cooking!
Akashdeep
Saigal:
The ponytail sporting Ansh from
'Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi'. True, sometimes he looks menacingly into the
camera even when he's not required to, but we'll let that pass. As we went to
press, we'd heard rumours of his imminent death on the show. Well, maybe he'll
be brought back to life in a distant land with no memory. If he's still on when
you read this, yippie! If not, may his gorgeous screen-soul rest in
peace.
Look
out for a 'Private I' with this dude...
Prannoy
Roy:
Style. Class. Sophistication.
Yeah, like Clooney, but Roy also has an unruffled reporting style and vast
experience that lend him a quality that the viewer instantly trusts. And the
viewer's trust is a journalist's biggest strength. So, here's to the head honcho
of all things newsy... 'Hail, Mr Roy, may your tribe increase'.
Jeff
Corwin:
He loves spontaneity and since
there's a lot of that happening when you're dealing with unpredictable animals
on Animal Planet, he's a hoot to watch, with monkeys swinging happily off him,
snakes wrapping themselves obstinately around him and frogs jumping off his
hands onto his face while he's trying his best to tell us something. Once, as
part of a challenge from the producers, he was deposited in the wilderness,
somewhere in America, and had 48 hours to find out where he was, based only on
the snakes he found. With loads of hilarious situations (perhaps not for Jeff!),
he succeeded!
Topher
Grace:
He's Eric Forman from 'That '70s
Show'. He's very hot, though like Chandler, not on the show. There, he's kind of
a nerd with a hot girlfriend. He's not into sports, he's endearingly inept at
most things that require tools, he's called 'Dumb Ass' by his dad all the time,
he's a bit of a momma's boy and his sister would gladly sell him for a couple of
bucks. Sounds a little loser-like? Well, therein lies his charm. He's got
brilliant comic timing and he and his gang sure know how to have a rockin' time!
He was discovered acting in a high school play. 'That '70s Show' was his first
audition and is now, his pathway to Hollywood. Good for him!
