To use advanced search more effectively here are few tips....
Simple search: Search for an exact word or phrase. Examples of valid simple search are Indian government, government, and Indian Government schemes.
Multiple word search: To search for more than one word or phrase, you can use AND. For example: Central government AND state government. This means that the words Central government and state government both should be in the article which you are looking for.
Optional search: To specify a match for either of the words or phrases you can use OR. For example: Prime minister OR Atal Bihari vajpayee.
Boolean operators of the same type (AND, OR) are associative and can therefore be applied in any order.
Word specific search: To search for a word or phrase excluding another word or phrase you can use AND NOT. For example: Indian government AND NOT Bihar government. This means that the phrase Indian government should be in the article but Bihar government should not.
The OR NOT operator is not allowed.
