Dull And Boring

Hair lacking in lustre? You might be suffering from build-up.
Start by using a clarifying shampoo to remove stuck-on conditioners and styling
products. After you wash and condition, try a quick cold-water rinse.
Conditioners with a little silicone can add shine, as can silicone
serums; avoid leave-in conditioners and products that lend volume. Spray-on
shine products work well, but don't overdo it, as they can look greasy. For a
serious case of the dulls, try a colourless gloss.
Another cause of
dull hair is damage from processing or over-brushing. Damaged hair cuticles
don't lie flat, so they can't reflect much light. If your hair is curly, keep in
mind that you'll never get a really high shine -- it's just not physically
possible. Because it bends and twists, curly hair can't reflect as much light as
straight hair.

and conditions lackluster locks. Formulated with glycerin and Pro Vitamin B 5 to
add luster and moisturise, the conditioner helps detangle hair. Doesn’t
strip away the hair’s natural oils.
FX Extreme Shine (Rs 350) is a
weightless shine and anti-frizz spray-on treatment that also repairs split
ends.
Keune Pearl Shine Gel with UV Filter has pro-vitamin B5 and multi
fruit complex.
Limp or Thin?
If your hair is lifeless and dull,
your problem might be excess weight from styling products or build-up. Again,
use a clarifying shampoo. If that doesn't do the trick, use a volumising shampoo
with a low level of conditioners — enough to smooth and coat the cuticle,
but not so much that it weighs your hair down. Use a light conditioner just at
the ends, if necessary. Avoid all products containing oils or lanolin, as well
as heavy gels, pommades and two-in-one products.
When you blow-dry
your hair, bend over, so your hair hangs toward the floor and dry the roots
first. A little mousse or hairspray applied just at the roots can give a look of
volume. Also consider a short to shoulder-length cut — less hair equals
less weight.
