I kickstart my day with a flurry of activity. My daughter Renee has piano
lessons and I have shoots, so I often eat breakfast in the car - 'poha',
'anda-bread' or whatever my cook packs. I'm not fussy.
My
diet routine: I avoid eating lunch, because I'm a Bengali and our meals make me
sleepy! So, I eat a good dinner and a good breakfast. I lose count of how many
glasses of water I drink every day. I'm in a profession where you have to find
ways to avoid those endless cups of tea! I also enjoy guava juice; it's a great
energiser.
I'm
addicted to my Clinique or Lancôme or La Prairie moisturiser, because I
have very dry skin. You'll find it all around me... on my bedside table, in my
purse, in the loo...
Best
beauty therapy: Sleep. The skin rejuvenates itself beautifully when you've slept
well.
My
skin behaves best when I apply lots of ice on my face before make-up begins. Ice
soothes and refreshes the skin wonderfully.
Best
beauty advice
: Feel good to look good. Everything else is a makeover.
When you walk in and make heads turn, it has nothing to do with what you're
wearing or how you've done your hair. It's about how you feel inside.
Pre-party
quick-fix:
Start with an ice rub. Apply a basic liquid foundation. Keep
make-up very light if you haven't slept well, because each layer of make-up only
highlights the dullness you feel.
My
look for the season: Black is every season for me - it's my favourite. I don't
go by the latest cuts and styles of haute couture designs. I dress according to
how I feel in the season.
Bedside
table essentials
: My mobile charger, lip balm - which I apply before I
sleep and after I wake up, mouth freshener in the top drawer and a lamp because
I love to read.
