• Bedroom eyes, day-old stubble and that wicked grin... If looks could kill, John would be Bollywood's most-wanted mass murderer by now.
• Is he just a good-looking dude then? Not really. There's an actor of some talent lurking there somewhere. Remember 'Jism'? It was hard to steal the thunder from Bipasha Basu (his girlfriend, well...) but John's rakish, passionate and at times naïve character made sure that he got noticed. Ditto for 'Saaya', where he plays a grieving husband.
• John's one of the few Indian models who has proved to be a saleable star-in-the-making. He's got the attitude, the body language and yes, he is a model who can act.
• Unlike most models, he has more than one set expression. Effortlessly switches between roles that require sensitivity to those with a mean streak.
• And he stands up for his girl. John came to the rescue of lady love Bipasha Basu at a Mumbai restaurant when some guys tried acting fresh with her. Now we know, all those muscles aren't just for display.
• They certainly aren't. He's well trained in martial arts though thankfully doesn't go to town about it. Modest. Hmm...
• He wasn't always angling for stardom. John did his MBA and dabbled in media planning until he won a model hunt contest and became the face of Provogue. That led to music videos, ad campaigns, movies and more... A drool-worthy dude had arrived.
• He cautiously treads on the movie market, doesn't get caught in controversies and we can umm... safely call him a hunk with brains. Rare find... very rare.
