Udita Goswami wants a man who can
dominate and enslave her. This, and other confessions, from the model-actress of
'Paap'
Growing up:
I've been
independent since I was 17 - that's when I got my first car. I've had
responsibilities on my shoulders from a very young age. In fact, I've never even
hung out with my own age group. Maybe that's why I'm attracted to older men...
um, like Richard Gere.
School: I was constantly being hauled up! I
hate taking orders even now, unless they're justified. I can't take being bossed
around!
'Paap' was different from
rest of the Bollywood factory
: It was Pooja Bhatt's first movie (as a
director), so it's different in that respect. The location that we've shot in is
extremely unique. I think my being in the movie also makes it different 'cause I
don't think I look like a typical Bollywood
heroine.
Ego tantrums:
I
think they come with being an actor. As a model, you have attitude without
reason. When you are an actor, you're putting in loads of hard work, so if you
act a little pricey, it still makes
sense.
Co-star John Abraham:
I no longer find him 'oh so hot'! Before I acted with him I thought he was, but
now that I know him so well, he's just another
guy.
Item numbers:
I'll do
them when I'm a star. Like Aishwarya Rai was when she did 'Ishq Kamina'. It's a
very wannabe act otherwise. Nowadays, there are too many 'item number girls'
around. In fact, if I was just another item number girl, I don't think you would
be here today taking my
interview!
Male sex symbols:
Oh, they should definitely flaunt it! If girls can flaunt it, why shouldn't
they?
On the relationship front: Well, I'm not seeing anyone right now but
I hope to be dating soon... but will definitely steer clear from 26-year-old
studs who think they're cool! The ideal man would be someone who is older and
dominating. I've always been the rebel. Now I'd like to be the slave!
Exploiting newcomers: I'm glad that my director was a female, so nobody
can point a finger at me and say, "We all know how you got that role!" There are
lots of people out to just exploit you, so I'd advise newcomers to be a little
careful.
Udita in a
nutshell:
An emotional fool!
