Make
A Wish
The bottle is the most alluring aspect of
Chopard

. Shaped like a diamond, it seems to
just mesmerise you into buying the fragrance. With notes of pear, blackcurrant,
Living Chinese gooseberry, acacia flower, jasmine, Living patchouli flower,
amber, toffee, tonka bean and many others, the fragrance is complex, yet rich.
Wear it, and it hangs around you like an exotic gourmet floriental cloud.
In the same scent, you also get in 200 ml packs Hair and Body Shampoo (Rs
1,250), Shimmering Body Veil (Rs 1,500), Satin Body Cream (Rs 3,030),
Conditioning Body Dew and Silkening Liquid Powder (Rs 1,650 each) and a deo. The
eau de parfum in 30 ml, 50 ml and 75 ml bottles are priced at Rs 1,650, Rs 2,250
and Rs 2,700 respectively.
Fight The Fat!
Cellulite! The bane of our existence! If you’ve been repulsed by
that orange peel skin on your butt, thighs and tummy, here’s a solution
for you:
Glucoblock
from
Vichy
. It’s the first
anti-cellulite gel launched in India and fights the lumpy deposits of fat that
result from the storage of excess glucose under the skin. It also prevents
further deposits.
Apply it twice a day for a month and Vichy
dermatologists claim you will achieve inch loss and smooth skin. However, you
can’t use this, continue to lead a lazy-butt life and then expect to lose
the cellulite. Avoid excess of sugar and fatty foods and exercise for half an
hour at least to support the gel’s
work.

Get Under Your Skin
Technology is always fascinating. You can now know exactly what is right
for your skin and hair type before you dish out massive moolah for expensive
products.
At the
Beautique Body
Shoppe
, Greater Kailash I, New Delhi, you can go through free tests to
find out your skin type and the quality of your hair, and pick up the right
stuff from a vast range of Jergens, Mudd, Biore and Rusk products. There’s
also Sally Hansen nail care, perfumes, etc available here.
A beauty
advisor asks you a couple of questions, and with the help of a small
computer-like gadget, tells you your skin type, the moisture, sebum and
pigmentation levels, and even the state of your T-zone. The same goes for your
hair. Once this is over, you can just pick what your beauty regime
needs.

HELPLINE
Q.
My feet are in pretty bad shape and I
don’t get much time to look after them. Will regular visits to the parlour
help?
Roopa D,
Mumbai
A.
You definitely need to pamper and take care of your feet or else, the
damage will get not only ugly, but also painful. On returning home from work,
add aromatic oils like lavender, pine and a small piece of ginger to a footbath.
This will help relieve, revive and invigorate tired feet.
Soften the hard
skin and prevent cracks by mixing in a bowl: Two teaspoons of almond oil, one
teaspoon each of honey and cocoa butter and half a teaspoon of turmeric. Place
the bowl in hot water and let the butter melt. When it cools, rub the mixture
over the cracked heels and use it regularly for two
weeks.
