A full time job, caring for kids, toss in parents and in laws and
of course, your husband and you have the working woman balancing act! How do you
manage all these relationships, especially that with your husband so that he
doesn't feel left out or neglected?
It can be tough, it can be
grueling but it isn't impossible. Here's what you can do to manage your marriage
and partner effectively...
1.
Set aside a chat time
Every day you must set aside a chat time with your husband, be it
over bed tea or a late night walk or a coffee. Catch up with each other's day
proceedings and discuss important issues regarding the family or your finances,
or maybe your future.
2.
Refrain from cribbing
Watch out, that you are not forever cribbing
to your husband, especially if you have limited time with your spouse. Ensure
that you are not labeled a cribber!
3.
Adjust your work timings
Imagine meeting your husband in airport lounges? Surprised are you?
Believe it or not there are umpteen couples who share their life in flights and
in hotel stopovers. There are also couples who meet only on week ends.
You need to be particular about adjusting your work timings in such
a way that both of you share a fair amount of time together.
4.
Take an active interest
in his activities
Be actively interested in what he does and likes.
If he likes to go for a walk every morning then schedule your morning tasks in
such a way that you are able to join him. You will not only gain the benefits of
early morning fresh air and exercise but also precious time.
5.
Pamper him
'The way to a man's heart is through his stomach.' Is this true of your
husband? If not, find out the way to your man's heart and pamper him. This will
make him feel wanted and loved.
Remember to be more of a lover and
friend to your husband, and not a nagging wife and your relationship will
sparkle despite your busy schedule.
