Colour Means Life...
The ‘Love what you do, till
you do what you love’ principle is for her. Bhamini Subramaniam works in
tune with the earth and its colours, using biodegradable, eco-friendly dyes and
prints. She works wonders on Western and Indian silhouettes for men and women,
saris, drapes, scarves, ties, textiles and corporate uniforms.
Creations in crepes, silks, chiffons and natural fabrics inspired
from the Orient, tradition and the Occident form a part of her portfolio under
her design cell, Abhinav Creations. Her clientele includes Shyam Ahuja and a few
fashion houses from New York and London. With all this and more, she skillfully
dips, dabs and dashes colour across the vast canvas of life!

Jean Zing
Radically different designs romped the ramp at the launch of
SF Jeans by Madura Garments. The massive brand goes places again! The line takes
inspiration from garage mechanics, scarred pieces and stained wear.
Think of jeans you have not washed and worn for days; that should make you buy
them! The jeans are sprayed with cool calligraphy, oil and grease stains (eeks!
Yes, but strangely appealing), permanent creases and more, for a vintage look.
The range covers sensually low-slung denims; beltless frayed styles, boot-cuts
and antifits. The young and the what-to-do-next types can splurge and kick-off a
few new trends.
