The Deol Deals!

|
Take a quick peep behind the dark
shades and uncover the real Bobby
Deol
Mumbai:
Is where home
is. Until a couple of years ago, Mumbai wasa fun city to be in. Not any more.
The city has become very crowded. I try to run away to my farmhouse in Lonavla
as often as possible.
My
music:
I don't have a favourite band or singer. I listen to anything that
pleases my ear. I am partial to music from the '80s because I grew up listening
to that.
Gadgets:
I love
gadgets. It could be anything from mobile phones to computers and stereo
systems. I guess I get that from my elder brother (Sunny Deol). He's another
gadget freak. Most of the magazines I read are about gadgets. Every time there's
a new phone model in the market, I have to own it.
Marriage:
Is not the
ultimate in happiness. Most people think that once you are married, your life is
settled. That's not how it works. Marriage involves a lot in terms of time,
responsibility, love, and people should get married only after they are
convinced that they can handle these things. If not, stay
single.
Sleepy tales:
I wish
I had more time to stay in bed. Thanks to my career, I don't get enough time to
sleep. I barely sleep five hours a night, which is terrible for my health. I am
not a morning person. Both Dad and Sunny 'bhaiya' wake up pretty early. They
tell me that mornings are the most beautiful time of the day. Well, I know all
that, I just can't get myself to wake up
early.
Fitness regime:
I try
to work out as often as possible, but my working hours are so erratic that I
don't work out as much as I would like to.
Man in the kitchen:
I don't
cook, so the question of spending time in the kitchen doesn't arise. The only
thing I know how to make is cold coffee and, if I may say so myself, I make the
best cold coffee in the
world!
Travelling:
I love to
visit two of my cousins. One lives in the US and the other in Delhi. I don't
like going to cities where I don't know people. Most of my holidays are spent
with the family at our farmhouse.
Embarrassments: I get embarrassed very
easily. It's annoying as it's pretty obvious when I do - I go red in the face.
Foodie:
There is nothing
like home cooked food. I love eating the simple yellow dal and 'lauki ki sabzi'.
When I am eating out, I love Thai food. There is a restaurant called Patara, in
Soho, London, which in my book, serves the best Thai food
possible.
Casual dude:
I'm
totally a shirt and jeans kind of a person. I wear white very often.
Obsessions:
Sunglasses -
I've been obsessed with sunglasses ever since I was a kid. Honestly I don't know
why I am obsessed with them. I own more than a hundred
pairs!
Making movies:
I can't
think of being a part of anything but films. This is all that I
know.
Bobby Deol:
What can I
say about him? He is... a simple man.
