Wear your favourite accessory -
your hair - in self-inspired style. June Tomkyns tells you how...

If you need a straightening balm, gel, shine serum or a
strong-hold spray to make a hair statement, you’re all messed up. Get a
cut that’s versatile and completely YOU!
Your Hairdo Should:
* Be
uncomplicated
* Be low maintenance
* Require minimum of styling
products
* Work for your hair type and facial features
So, If You Are:
A SQUARE
FACE: Choose a style with long, lightly wavy or curly layers, to softly frame
the face and detract from the hard facial lines. Avoid a fringe or a side
parting. Layers work like magic and you get a new look without sacrificing
length.
A ROUND FACE: Go short in length to make your face appear
narrower, and opt for a short fringe to give the illusion of facial length.
AN OVAL FACE: This shape is perfect and allows you the freedom to
wear a style of your choice. Hair can look sexy in all lengths.
A
LONG FACE: This facial shape needs more body at the top. Choppy bangs or short
layers is a good bet. What will also work is a bob with a fringe to create width
(horizontal lines). Scrunch-dried, curly bobs balance a long face.
However, don’t forget a glance at your body shape before going the
whole hog.

And if you wear glasses, your frame and hairstyle should
complement each other. Large spectacles could spoil a neat, feathered cut, while
fine frames will be lost in a large, voluminous style. Wear your glasses before
your stylist cuts your hair.
Tressed
Out!
Curls are still very strong. And face-framing fringes with soft
highlights are trendy, too. It’s also the time to let your hair down the
’60s way!
